Why is the user agent not enough?
Any client can put Googlebot, GPTBot or PerplexityBot in its header. A defensible match therefore needs two aligned signals: the claimed product token and a source IP from the operator's published range.
What the result proves — and what it does not
A double match supports the claim that this logged request came from a network range published by that operator. It does not prove that the URL was indexed, used for training, or later cited.
Anthropic now publishes a machine-readable IP list for ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User. AnalyseSpider includes those ranges in the same dated snapshot as the other operator lists.
